How to reach us

Our museum is located 257 km far from the capital. If you come by car choose motorway M3 then M30 to Miskolc. After Miskolc choose the road No. 37. passing Szerencs and Sárospatak.

It is also easy to reach us by train. Trains are leaving from Budapest Keleti Railway Station including Euro-City and Intercity trains passing Miskolc and Szerencs.

Every day except Mondays from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Guided tours are currently available in only Hungarian.

Half price tickets are available for our permanent and temporary exhibitions for
- Adults aged between 62 and 70
- Up to 2 adults (parents or close relatives) accompanying at least two persons under the age of 18
- Young persons aged between 6 and 26
**This reduction applies for citizens of Hungary or of another EEA (European Economic Area) country.
Our permanent and temporary exhibitions can be visited free of charge by
- Children under the age of 6
- Adults over 70 years
- Disabled persons - 1 companion is also admitted without charge
- Holders of EMMI tickets
- Members of national civil organisations connected to museums and other public collections that have at least 400 members
- Educators (with an educator’s card) who work in public education in Hungary or in another EEA country
- Persons aged between 18 and 26 and children under the age of 18 with two close relatives when visiting on the third Saturday of each month (for citizens of Hungary or of another EEA country)
- Holders of an ICOM card
- Furthermore admission is free for anyone on the national holidays of the Hungarian Republic (15 March, 20 August, 23 October)
